Hello there! I’m the brains behind The Boompa fifth wheel flag mount. Since I was a Cub Scout, I’ve been camping. Camping has a deep and never-ending attraction for me. Adventure in this unique format provides me with a rush, excitement, and joy that is thrilling.

Being an avid camper, I saw campsites that showcase affiliations and love for various entities with different flags. Flying the US flag has brought me great pride over the years. Still, I never could find an ideal way to display my flags without spending time altering my 5th wheel, which is why I came up with this fantastic and one-of-a-kind camping accessory.

When I recognized the need for a multi-flag mount that required no alterations, I started my journey to create The Boompa. Just like my 5th wheel flag mounts, the name The Boompa pays tribute to my father, who was dubbed “The Boompa” when I was a kid.

When I first developed this product, my initial test unit was constructed in my garage out of wood. I started testing various materials on the rough prototype, developing many trial units, and putting them to the test on my 5th wheel. The metals needed to be robust, while installation should be simple. After over 20 prototypes, aluminum proved to be the most durable material for the flag mount. It was lightweight, long-lasting, and simple to install. Merely slide on and lock into your kingpin.

Once the aluminum-built unit was finalized, I submitted it for the utility patent for the kingpin connection. And then, I waited for 18 long months, after which the patent was awarded. I knew this would be a great way to express my American pride and assist other campers in flying their flags to support sports teams, states, countries, and military associations.

As my production of The Boompa started for retail sales, it was vital for me to source all the materials in America as I wanted it to be 100% Made in the USA. Therefore, I contracted with local machine shops to produce my units, sourced all materials from manufacturers in the US, and even used local businesses to help with marketing and business support. Keeping all production, materials, marketing, and printing in the USA and supporting local businesses and packaging is 100% recycled cardboard. The Boompa is the epidemy of USA support; we fly our US pride high on our products and our fifth wheel!
